Where to start?!

Hi Everyone! My name is Amelia Hutnak and I am a (super) senior in the Environmental Studies program at Rhode Island College. After walking in graduation in May 2018 I am completing my final four credits as an intern at Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation (you’ll see my refer to it as Resource Recovery or RIRRC a lot throughout my posts). In the Environmental Studies program you are required to do an internship or capstone class of some sort, so I thought, what better place to intern at than RIRRC?! This would give me a perspective into my field of study that classes at school could not provide. And, boy has it ever! I have learned more than I even thought that I could in a six week period.

This goal of this blog is to document my time at Resource Recovery, what I’ve done and what I’ve learned. It is also to teach you guys about all of the wonderful opportunities and resources that Resource Recovery offers for Rhode Island residents. Stay tuned!
