I am a currently a Rhode Island College student finishing up my last four credits as an intern at Rhode Island Resource Recovery (RIRRC). For a little bit of background, I was accepted into the Rhode Island College School of Nursing and had completed most of the program when I decided that it was not the career for me. This decision led me to my future as an environmentalist in the Environmental Studies program at RIC. Throughout this program I have learned how we as humans are impacting the Earth and all of the detrimental effects that we are having on the Earth.

 

Here at RIRRC, I am working with Kristin, the Municipal Coordinator and David, the Waste Prevention Coordinator. I am learning what their jobs entail and learning about recycling in Rhode Island.
